  • Trump Hotels Real estate mogul Donald Trump plans a $300 million, 64-story hotel and condominium tower just off the Las Vegas Strip, in the latest move to build residences on America's main street of gambling, Trump said on Friday.

The flashy developer and star of reality television show "The Apprentice" has filed to build 50 condominiums at the top of the hotel with more than 1,000 rooms.

The gold and white tower, emblazoned "Trump" at the top in 25-foot letters, will stand about 1,000 feet off the north end of Las Vegas Boulevard and behind the Frontier casino, city planner Bob Klein said.

"I'm trying to duplicate what I did on Central Park West," Trump said in an interview, referring to the mixed-use facility in New York.
