Hans Bratt Appointed General Manager of Mayfair Hotel & Spa, Coconut Grove, FL |
|
Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants, the new manager of the Mayfair Hotel & Spa, formerly Mayfair House Hotel, has appointed Hans Bratt to serve as the hotel’s general manager. |
Bratt will help facilitate the rebranding of the historic Coconut Grove hotel as it undergoes $10 million in renovations and becomes the Mayfair Hotel & Spa, a Kimpton Hotel.
“Hans has the experience and knowledge needed to not only oversee all operations of a hotel, but to guide its re-emergence as a South Florida icon,” commented Tom LaTour, chairman and CEO of Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. “Bratt is familiar with luxury, lifestyle hotels and with the South Florida market. He has a proven track record of success and an obvious passion for the hospitality industry.”
Bratt most recently held the position of general manager at The Raleigh Hotel on South Beach.
“I have spent my entire working career in the hospitality industry and I look forward to continue doing what I love at the Mayfair Hotel & Spa,” commented Bratt. “If I didn’t believe in the hotel’s superior quality and level of service and amenities - I wouldn’t be here. I have been in the hotel arena since I was 20 years old and I’ve learned what sets a quality hotel apart. I see that in the Mayfair.”
Bratt, a citizen of the US and Sweden, has 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry and has held management positions at prominent hotels in the United States, Europe and South America. Prior to The Raleigh, he was the general manager at the InterContinental Cozumel Resort. He is fluent in English, Spanish, German and Swedish.
“I look forward to re-introducing the Mayfair to the public as a unique, welcoming place to stay. It will be an experience all its own - and an alternative to the South Beach scene,” Bratt said. “I am the kind of GM who wants to be able to personally greet each and every guest, shake their hand and learn their life story. I am 100 percent hands on and believe that this is what sets me apart and has allowed me to succeed and get to where I am today.”
Bratt has a four-year degree from the Sigtuna Humanistic University in Sweden and has completed hotel management courses at both Cornell and UCLA. He currently resides in Coral Gables, FL.
