Super 8® Motels Offer Free ‘Rooms at the Inn’ for the Holidays |
|
For the 14th year in a row, the Super 8 motel chain will offer free accommodations during the holidays to people in need so that they can visit friends or relatives in distant nursing homes, hospitals, veterans’ homes or other treatment facilities. |
To book a free room under the Super 8 Rooms at the Inn program, consumers can call a Super 8 motel directly or Superline®, the chain’s toll-free reservation center, at (800) 800-8000. The program is limited to those in need who require out-of-town lodging.
“The Super 8 Rooms at the Inn program ensures that the cost of a motel room doesn’t stand in the way of visiting a friend or relative during this special time of the year,” said Super 8 President John Valletta.
The chain adopted the initiative in 1990. Since then, participating Super 8 motels have donated more than 11,250 rooms to holiday travelers in need. This year, 260 motels are expected to provide more than 1,000 free rooms during the holidays.
Super 8 Motels Inc., founded in America's heartland in 1974, is one of the world’s largest economy lodging chains, with 2,081 motels representing 126,028 rooms throughout the United States and Canada. All Super 8 motels are independently owned and operated under franchise agreements with Super 8 Motels, Inc. Reservations can be made through Superline®, Super 8’s toll-free reservation center at (800) 800-8000, or online at www.super8.com. Super 8 Motels, Inc. is a subsidiary of Cendant Corporation (NYSE: CD).
