Pan Pacific San Francisco Appoints New General Manager |
|
Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts has appointed Sileshi Mengiste as the new General Manager for Pan Pacific San Francisco, according to Chairman Ichigo Umehara. Mengiste succeeds Jacques Villeneuve who was General Manager for the last three years. |
Prior to his appointment as General Manager of Pan Pacific San Francisco, Mengiste was most recently Executive Director of Hotel Operations for the 2,700 room, Wynn Resort in Las Vegas. Additionally, Sileshi held General Manager assignments at The St. Regis in Houston and San Francisco’s Four Seasons Clift Hotel as well as management positions with The Orchard Hotel (formerly The Rex) in San Francisco, San Francisco’s Sir Francis Drake Hotel and Insel Hotel in Bonn, West Germany.
Born in Ethiopia, Mengiste is a graduate of Kenya Utalii College in Nairobi, Kenya as well as San Francisco’s Golden Gate University. He is returning to the San Francisco Bay Area with wife and two children.
Umehara comments, “With his diversified background and his vast experience in the hospitality industry, I am confident that Mengiste will make immense contributions to the success of Pan Pacific San Francisco, and ultimately to Pan Pacific Hotels and Resorts.”
