Glass Cactus - North Texas' Newest High-Energy Nightclub - To Open at Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center |
|
The waiting is nearly over for North Texas nightclub aficionados. The Glass Cactus, poised to be the hottest nightclub in the region, opens its doors on Wednesday, September 20, to the public. |
Located on the shores of Lake Grapevine at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, the $16 million nightclub hosted its invitation-only VIP opening on Thursday, September 7, with music superstar LeAnn Rimes.
"The Glass Cactus experience will be unlike anything anyone has seen before in a nightclub," said John Imaizumi, senior vice president and general manager of Gaylord Texan Resort. "Our state-of-the-art sound, lighting and video systems, which will be synchronized to each band's show, rivals that of the best performance halls in the country. In combination with the best sunset views in town, a menu of upscale "club" cuisine and signature cocktails that are second to none, Glass Cactus will far and away be the place to go for late night entertainment."
Offering 39,000 square feet of stunning interior entertainment and dining space, Glass Cactus includes multiple themed signature bars, including Fire Bar, Tequila River and outdoor Deck Bar; a 1,500-square-foot entertainment stage and 2,000-square-foot dance floor; a 4,000-square-foot exclusive VIP section overlooking the main floor and stage; and a 13,000-square-foot outdoor, multi-tiered deck overlooking Lake Grapevine. Designed to dazzle the senses, the nightclub will entertain guests with lavish interiors, seductive lighting effects and multiple alluring destinations - all within its captivating canyon walls.
Nightly live music, ranging from country to blues to rock n' roll from a variety of musical talents, will embrace the diverse traditions of music for which Texas is known. Patrons can also sample from a sassy selection of creative "club" cuisine, including Mini Black Angus Burgers, Smoked Shrimp Flat Bread or Herb Crusted Calamari, or take advantage of the club's tequila selection, which at 125 and counting, is the largest in the state of Texas. Self-parking will be complimentary with validation for local guests. Valet parking will also be available. The club will charge a $10 cover for local guests and a $5 cover for resort guests.
Dallas-based HKS Inc. and Westwood Contractors Inc. served as the architects and contractors, respectively, on the project.
