  • American Express American Airlines (AA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AMR Corporation, and American Express Global Business Travel, a division of American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc., announced today that the companies have agreed in principle to explore a long-term arrangement for the benefit of their corporate clients.


    American Airlines (AA), a wholly-owned subsidiary of AMR Corporation, and American Express Global Business Travel, a division of American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc., announced today that the companies have agreed in principle to explore a long-term arrangement for the benefit of their corporate clients. Under this arrangement, American Express Global Business Travel would receive guaranteed direct long-term access to AA's fares, schedules, and customized travel products and services via AA's direct connect link through aggregation technology for such content provided by one or more global distribution systems (GDSs). The arrangement is subject to the execution of a definitive agreement.
