Tim Zugger Named General Manager Of Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center In Somerset, New Jersey

Centrally situated in one of America’s most dynamic corporate communities just 40 miles from New York City, the Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center - Somerset is located adjacent to the Garden State Convention and Exhibit Center on 16 beautifully landscaped acres. Zugger began his career at the Hilton Miami Airport in 1983 before spending three years in various supervisory positions in the front office of the Waldorf=Astoria® in New York City. He then served as director of front office operations during the next ten years at the Hilton Myrtle Beach, Hilton New Orleans Riverside, Hilton Atlanta and the Palmer House® Hilton in Chicago. In 1994, he was named executive assistant manager of the Hilton Atlanta and in 1997 became resident manager of the Hilton Pittsburgh. In 2000, he was promoted to general manager of both the Hilton Suites Auburn Hills and Hilton Inn Southfield in Michigan.
In his new role, Zugger also will oversee a team dedicated to the hotel’s 9,000 square-foot Executive Conference Center that has been approved and certified by the International Association of Conference Centers. The Executive Conference Center provides nine unique meeting rooms, including a comfortable library, with support facilities that meet the stringent requirements of this esteemed worldwide association.
