As hotel manager he oversaw all aspects of rooms, food & beverage, retail, engineering and partner relations, leading the team through a $50 million dollar renovation which included all guestrooms, various F&B and retail outlets, public spaces and the state-of-the-art poolside cabanas debuting this June. Additionally Tonarelli was the mastermind behind Loews Miami Beach Hotel’s first annual celebrity golf tournament, which raised more than $75,000 for donorschoose.org in its first year.

He began his career with Loews Miami Beach Hotel as Director of Sales. Under Tonarelli’s leadership, the team received top recognition with most group nights booked and record room revenues for the company. After four successful years in sales, he moved back into operations, where he began his career and where his true passion lied. As Director of Rooms, Tonarelli continued his success as a leader improving customer service scores and receiving the Loews Hotels Star Service Award as well as the Gold Key award for the company.
As an active community leader he has served as chair of the Miami Beach Director of Sales Task Force, was a board member of the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Visitor Industry Council and has been an adjunct professor at Miami Dade Community College. Tonarelli holds a Masters in Hospitality and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Florida International University.
Tonarelli’s past hospitality experience includes Associate Director of Resort Sales and Director of Sales at the Doral Golf and Spa Resort, in Miami, Florida. He began his career at the iconic Fontainebleau Hilton as a manager in both operations and sales.
