First Call Hospitality, Inc. (FCH) has announced that Rick Adlington has been named Regional Director of Operations for the company. His responsibilities include overseeing; operations, sales and marketing, revenue management, new acquisitions, renovations, re-branding and budgeting for FCH’s Southern Region properties, which currently includes limited and full-service IHG and Hilton properties. He is also responsible for improving profitability by monitoring and implementing revenue and cost control practices and strategies.
Rick’s knowledge of hotels has spanned geographically from Florida to Washington State. He has been responsible for all categories of hotels including; Airport, Suburban, Downtown and Resorts properties with focus on operations, sales & marketing, increasing RevPAR and EBITDA for ownership.

In Rick’s 35 years of hospitality experience, he has worked in all phases of the hotel business. He has held 9 different multi-unit positions. One of those 9 positions held by Rick, he was responsible for, and supported, 62 hotels. He has also successfully opened 55 hotels. During his tenure, as a General Manager, Rick has achieved a “Torch Bearer Award” from Holiday Inn and two “Success Awards” from Hilton Garden Inn.

Rick began his career as a bellman for the Howard Johnson Hotel in Orlando, Florida. He then worked his way up the corporate ladder to Front Desk, Night Audit, Front Office Manager, Food & Beverage Director and General Manager for Holiday Inn. During his tenure with Holiday Inn, he went from Night Auditor to General Manager in 10 years.
His career includes working for Holiday Inns, Inc., Promus Hotels, Hilton, IMIC, HP Hotels and Apsilon Hotels. Rick has managed or overseen the following brands; Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites, Hampton, Ramada, Radisson, Sheraton, Hilton Garden Inn, Cambria Suites, Comfort Inn, La Quinta, Baymont, Best Western and Holiday Inn Express hotels. Rick’s extensive background has been with both owned & operated hotels as well as franchised properties.
