Wyndham Hotel Group is proud to announce that the new Wyndham Rewards®, a re-imagined hotel loyalty program that’s simple to understand, easy-to-use, and that lets members earn more and redeem faster than any other program in the industry, has received “Up and Coming Program of the Year” honors in the 2015 Freddie Awards in Europe and Africa.
The "Up and Coming Program of the Year" winner is selected based on actual Program of the Year voting. The winner is the program with the best average score among those ranked by two to ten percent of the voters in that category. This year, there is an Up and Coming award in both airline and hotel categories within each of the three voting regions around the globe – Americas, Asia/Middle East, Europe/Africa.
“We are honored to win an inaugural ‘Up and Coming Program of the Year’ Freddie Award,” said Noah Brodsky, vice president of worldwide loyalty and engagement for Wyndham Hotel Group. “The new Wyndham Rewards lets members earn more and redeem faster than any other program in the industry, so to receive an award like this that comes directly from member voting makes us believe that we’re on to something really big.”
Launching globally on May 11, Wyndham Rewards is revolutionizing the loyalty landscape by introducing the most generous program in the industry that is simple to understand and easy for members to actually use.
The program features the simple “Go FreeSM” award, which allows members to earn a free night at one of more than 7,500 Wyndham Rewards hotels across the globe for a flat redemption rate of 15,000 points, with no blackout dates. In addition, for every qualified stay, members earn 10 points for every dollar spent or a minimum of 1,000 points per stay, whichever is more. For those who want to utilize their points faster, they can take advantage of “Go FastSM,” which enables members to redeem an award night for just 3,000 points plus some cash at participating Wyndham Rewards hotels.
The annual Freddie Awards recognize the world's top airline and hotel loyalty programs and are determined by votes from more than 3.2 million frequent fliers and hotel loyalty program members, recognizing five "best of" categories for both airlines and hotels in each of three global regions.
