• Helpful and good reference but definitely outdated...
  This is still a good addition to your library as a reference; it is of little use if you are installing a panel or instruments.

• Don't waste your time
  I have this book and it sits on my bookself collecting dust. It was a required text for school and I could never use it. It is poorly laid out and the descriptions of the systems are not in depth enough to actually give you a decent understanding of the material. The systems are out dated with current technology unless you are a general aviation mechanic. • Great Book on Theory but...
  This is a great book on theory, but if you're a kit aircraft builder like me, it doesn't have enough specific "how to" information. A great resource to go along with this book is "The Aeroelectric Connection", not available on Amazon as of the writing of this review. It has all the information you need to know about to wire your aircraft; tools, supplies, and the most valuable of all: wiring diagrams for every possible configuration.

  I believe this text to be the most comprehensive reference available on basic electricity, electrical & electronic systems and avionics. When I need information about an electrical system or component it is the first place I look.

  The scope and detail of the text vastly exceeds that of any of the other A&P "textbooks". The text is not written at a fourth grade level like the other textbooks. If remedial instruction is your objective, this is not the textbook for you. If, however, your objective... more info
