Not worth the money
This is a very expensive pamphlet that has little to say. Basically it advises that you should keep in mind the security of your income, life insurance and life expectancy in deciding on your asset allocation. Not very profound advice. I expected more from someone with the reputation of Ibbotson. I guess he needed the money.

Eloquent
Mastering gives a good financial insight to not just asset allocation but to investing in general.

not useful
David's arrogant tone comes through. If you know him you know what I mean. Classic eloquent bs from the "master" of just that. This book is not useful for either implementation or study. He'd be better suited as a professor at a community college than an Advisor to one of the largest firms on Wall St.

Look Elsewhere
If you need to prepare an academic thesis, this might be a reference.
If you need to construct and execute an asset allocation plan, look elsewhere.
