  • Did not live up to expectations
    Getting the book, I thought it 'would change my life' through all the insight Sennett would bestow on me. Sadly not the case, it was a lackluster title. I don't really have any suggestions as to what might be better.

    As a member of the New Left in the 1960's, Richard Sennett was a young radical railing against big corporations and big government. He was also critical of state socialism for being just another bureaucratic system holding the individual in its suffocating grip.
