This is an amazing book! Imagine been taken on a ride through the twentieth century by the people who made it and wrote about it at the time -- Nikolai Bukharin, Henry Stimson, Kissinger, Margaret Mead, Alexander Solzhenitsyn. All the articles are interesting, many are just dazzling. You go from inter-war isolation to World War II to the Cold War to Vietnam to the collapse of communism to today.
