A good, concise overview
This book provides a good, concise overview that points the way for additional reading. It contains many useful tips and techniques. The case studies could have been more detailed. Chapter 1 - A good briefing on the importance of getting the supply chain correctly aligned to the markets. Chapter 2 - Highlights the four business operations that drive the supply chain. The sourcing operation could have dealt with more in more depth. Chapter 3 - A reminder that outsourcing is an option.more info

Just an introduction to the supply chain concept
This book repeats many time same items and is too focused on distribution business e.g. Walmart, Paper utilities... and does not address the industrial worls such as in aeronautic, defense...
The information convied in this book is very general. for my point of view, it is unsufficient to start setting up a supply chain.
