I found this book to be very helpful in understanding the output from the SPSS statistical software. I would recommend it to anyone using this software. This book was listed as a recommended book for a class I am taking in intermediate statistics. Normally I do not buy those books listed for my classes as "recommended". One of the MOST useful guides to SPPS and statistical procedures 
This book has been a life-saver. Its clear and concise about most of the main techniques you might need for analyzing your data. Its written as a practical guide to help you understand which statistical procedure to use. I'm a PhD student in Epidemiology and this is the book that really helped clear my concepts about the various statistical techniques and most importantly how and when to use them.
