User friendly approach for those eager to learn by themselves 
I recently passed PMP exam and all I used to prepare for the exam was this book. Material is presented in clear manner, exercises are adequate for adult learning and are very helpful.
A few topics have been covered in less extent than they are in PMBOK, but the book still covered everything that was needed for the exam.
The 'brain dumps' suggested (the material that needs to be learned extremly well and possibly reproduced during the introduction to the exam) were excellent.

Much better than Mulcahy's book! 
This book is oriented towards visual learners. Read it twice, take the practise test before and after - and you will pass the exam!

Excellent review material
Like many others, I passed the PMP exam on my first attempt with little studying. This CD is really well done. Begin by taking a simulation exam (it's painful, as it's a full four hours) and review the sections you scored lowest. If you passed the first time on the simulation exam, as I did, it's important to still review the sections you scored poorest in.

A poorly written text 
Studying this Crosswind text, I have been consistently surprised at both the cut and paste quality of the edit and the remarkably poor language skills shown throughout. Before inflicting their next effort upon the Project Management public, Messrs Johnson et al might consider some remedial instruction in the construction of the English sentence. Such grammar would not be so bad if it did not confuse the already semantic-laden arguments of the PMI; however, it does, and does so consistently. Finally, I must... more info
