This book, not surprisingly, has been attacked by anti-capitalist, anti-free market, anti-American forces. If you want more government intervention in the economy and your personal life, you will not like this book. This book is an excellent presentation on the problems of government 'regulations' into free market mechanisms. This book illustrates simply and clearly how many chaotic economic problems were actually caused by interference from government regulations. Free-Markets 
Dr. Dilorenzo presents an amazing historical/economical case for unfeddered capitalism. Even if you are a strong Republican, you will find some conviction due Dilorenzo' strong anti-government interventionism. Ranging from the pilgrim's practice of free-market capitalism to why the highway system should have been based on free-markets, Dilorenzo does indeed make you question many of the government programs that currently exist.
