  It really has helped me a lot to track my spending and my habits to be on the road to being debt free.

• not necessary
  I bought the Total Money Makeover book at the same time and so I expected it to be a workbook. It wasn't, you just need a yellow legal pad to record your thoughts.

• Fancy book of plain pages.
  This product arrived in perfect condition, but it really seemed a bit much for a bunch of blank pages. They were pretty, but I didn't expect it from Dave. I have a lot of respect for his methods (my husband and I are following them and are on par to be debt free by the end of next year), but this seemed a little much. The cover is beautiful, but if you really follow what Dave has to say, you'll go out and buy a $.30 spiral notebook to keep these notes.
