it was ok 
the book itself and the idea that it is trying to convey is fine. however, when reading this to my grandchildren, they noticed many misspellings and errors. i am not sure if this was intended, or if this was a substandard copy that i recieved.

More than a pile of dog crap 
OK, I must be careful when writing this review -- it's my boss's boss's favorite business book! But that said, "The Dog Poop" initiative, though written and illustrated as an age-appropriate book for young children, does make a fairly good point for the rest of us: for every 100 people who are willing to live with a problem (the Pointers) -- helpfully warning others to avoid it -- there is 1 person (the Scooper!) who will actually try to do something about it. That's good news for the bold among us who are... more info

Fifth Grade Teacher Started the Year with This Book 
Our son's 5th grade teacher shared the story with the parents at curriculum night by saying not to worry if our children came home talking about dog poop and then showing us the book. What an excellent message. I had to stop and think about my own behavior as an adult and came to the conclusion that I'm probably more of a whiner and pointer than I'd like to be. The story made for great conversation at the dinner table as each of us thought of ways to be "scoopers".
