a private concert 
just like having him in your house with his guitar and piano-- you either love it or hate it. it makes me grab my guitar and play along with him every time. and the lyrics will stay with you--

Jackson Browne is simply the best! He sells his "product" with such absolute skill and a light-hearted, endearing personality. I loved it!

A superior songwriter / storyteller 
Jackson's first album Jackson Browne (1972), sometimes referred to as Saturate Before Using, is - in my opinion - one of the most superior debut albums of all time, so mature, so eloquent, so emotionally charged, the words and the music just breaks my heart, but, you know, it's that hurts-so-good feeling. What's equally impressive is the fact that Jackson managed to maintain the high quality on For Everyman (1973), Late For The Sky (1974) and The Pretender (1975). a serious complaint 
The atmosphere of these gracious, intimate performances is heavily compromised by the loud and long applause tracks. What were they thinking.
