Greensleeves is art. 
I suspect had Henrey 8th heard Lorenna's version of Greensleeves (he wrote the lyrics), Lorenna would have been his 8th wife. I've always hated that song. Now it's one of my favorites just because of what Lorenna does to it.

Loreena is the best 
Loreena is the best musician in the world. She has been part of my bed time ritual for over 9 years. What a great way to go to sleep at night.

A Firm Foundation 
The liner notes tell us that it was only after Loreena McKennitt had intensively studied and deeply imbibed the Celtic tradition that she felt confident enough to take her own first halting musical steps. Well here they are on Elemental and they are truly more exalted than halting.
