What Should Have Happened After Wildflowers 
When it came to "just plain Tom Petty" albums, we had '89's "Full Moon Fever", followed by '94's "Wildflowers". Then there was this humongous gap between that and '06's "Highway Companion". Now we finally have the piece that was supposed to go in there, in this album. The classic "Shady Grove" (which I first heard in junior high on a live Kingston Trio set). Then right away we get the best one; "Scare Easy". Other standouts are the Dave Dudley hit "Six Days On the Road", which was his followup to the spoken... more info

BEST PETTY RELEASE FOR YEARS. 
BEEN A TOM PETTY FAN FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS NOW AND ALLWAYS LIKED THE CLASSIC STUFF BETTER THAN HIS RESENT RELEASES,AND THIS I A RETURN TO THE CLASSIC TP AND ITS NOTTHING LESS THAN FANTASTIC,ADD THAT THE SOUND ON THIS CD IS GREAT IN FACT THE BEST IVE COME ACROSS IN A VERY LONG TIME.GREAT ALBUM GO BUY IT.

Lots of fun 
The more I listen the more I love this CD. A little bit country, a little bit folk, a little bit rock and roll. Don't take it too seriously. The band seems to really be enjoying themselves. This one is lots of fun!

If you want rock, look somewhere else. This is country! 
Listen to the song samples first before you buy... This album was "recommended" to me by Amazon.com presumably based on my history of purchases. Well Amazon, you got it dead wrong. This is 100% country, and if you like that, fine, but if you don't, run don't walk.
