• Wisteria Lane just got Juicer
  This season of Desperate Housewives is one of the best with several interesting storylines.
  Katherine Mayfair comes to Wisteria Lane after an absence of many years with her daughter Dylan and new husband (who has a few mysteries of his own). • Poor follow-on
  This season is far inferior to the previous three; the characters lack plausible motivations, the story is increasingly soapy, and the tornado is so unrealistic that it takes one directly out of the storyline. However, the worst aspect is the ending: it is so anti-climatic and uninteresting that not only does it fail to wrap up season 4, it sapped all interest for season 5.

• Terrific extras make an already good season a must-have set for fans.
  There's little else to add to what others have said of the season itself. Instead, I wanted to note the great extras that make this DVD set a nice buy. Several are of the same type as previous season sets:
  There are audio commentaries for six episodes, the first by Marc Cherry and some writers with nice tidbits (season 3 was to end with the revelation of Bree faking her pregnancy but ABC didn't think that was dramatic enough so they came up with Edie's "Hanging").
