Customer Review: I bought this book many years ago when our youngest who is now 19 was 3 or 4. It is the typical modern psycho-babble about trying to understand your kids etc. Useless trash. You are much better off going with John Rosemond's "Six Point Plan to Raising Happy Healthy Children". Much more effective... more info
Customer Review: This is hands down the most helpful parenting book I have read. It will not only help you understand why you may have experienced rivalry with your own siblings, it will help you prevent these same issues from injuring your own childrens' bonds. The authors use support group participants' real-life... more info
Customer Review: Must have if your parenting a teenager. I bought it because I have a teenage grandson. I'm a substitute teacher and this book has given me a positive insight to understanding the teenagers I have in class. After reading through it I bought a copy for my daughter.
Customer Review: The theories and ideas presented by this book are great, but the way they are presented completely turns me off to their ideas. It seems to be presented in a fantasy world and while the teacher in the book still struggles with how to implement these ideas, it does not feel like real experiences. The... more info

Customer Review: I really enjoyed this book as much as I enjoyed the previous one (Cómo hablar para que los niños escuchen y cómo escuchar para que los niños hablen). The authors share very useful techniques to build up a good relationship with adolescents based upon good communication... more info
Customer Review: This is from Robert Smith's wife. I found this book in his stack of stuff to put on amazon marketplace...I thought by the title "liberated" it was some sort of weird hippy sixties stuff. So I flipped thru it out of curiousity. Nope. It's about parenting. About meeting children's needs and the... more info
Customer Review: This was recommended to me by my therapist when I went to her and said, "I think I'm a bad parent". I don't have very many positive role models to learn from and was just trying to do it by myself. But I was surprised to hear from the authors of this book that many parents experience what I have. I... more info
Customer Review: This is a sweet book! I have a copy & also gave one to my little brother who is in the military far from home. Whenever I miss him I pull out this book. It's full of images that remind me of growing up with him. I have actually bought this book a couple of times, because anyone who looks at it... more info
