Customer Review: No new information in this book. Friedman took the title from the last book he wrote and extended it to one that appears to love the earth.
Customer Review: This is a great book about the origins our our current financial straits. It's not a light read but compelling and thought provoking to be sure. It details America's rise as global financial hegemon and offers predictions about what the future of the global economy will look like. Phillips... more info

Customer Review: THE PREDATOR STATE
Understanding the financial happenings is so important. We certainly didn't learn any of this in school; highschool anyway. I heard Kenneth Galbraith interviewed on KCET and placed my order, getting 2 gifts and reading one myself.
Customer Review: Just finished the book and have to say the author's stories seemed very contrived. While many historical facts are presented like the Iraq War or the Control of Panama Canal, the author's stories of meeting "local people" seem made up and don't provide any useful evidence to the reader beyond... more info

2. On second thought - after reading the 1st 98 pages - I realized it was not written... more info
Customer Review: A friend at work said to me that we could have solved the high price of gas, if only we started drilling off shore 10 years...I wondered why he could believe that...and now I have read why. Newt gets it (we have to have energy independence); however he is disingenuous and dishonest though out... more info
