Best of the Sundance Film Festival

At Sundance, various awards, including the Grand Jury Prize, Special Jury Prize, and Audience Award, are given to both the top dramatic and documentary films. Though each category has slightly different criteria, every award winner is a top film worth checking out. Here are our favorite films that have won awards at the Sundance Film Festival since its inception in 1985.

Whether they won the Grand Jury Prize, Special Jury Prize, Audience Award, or were simply nominated at Sundance, you can bring them home for less.

2007 Sundance Film Festival Winners

Founded by Robert Redford in 1981 in the mountains of Sundance, Utah, the nonprofit Sundance Institute has been dedicated to the development of artists of independent vision and to the exhibition of their work, most notably their film festival. Since 1985 the annual Sundance Film Festival has been held in Park City each January and is considered the premier showcase for American and International independent film in dramatic and documentary categories.
