Customer Review: Full of interesting things about home buying. I wish that in some parts it would have gone more in depth. But in the end I felt like I learned a lot from this book.
Customer Review: I have been in the real estate game for 10 years, starting with "flipping" (before it was trendy), then to building "spec" homes (because it was trendy), and finally to "hold and rent" (because I had to!). After the boom, I had several homes that would not sell and reluctantly turned to rentals as a... more info
Customer Review: I learned nothing from this book that I didn't already know. After talking with friends and family and finding a good mortgage banker I trusted, I knew what I needed to. I was very disappointed in it!
Customer Review: while some of the stuff is basic info, there's some really excellent advice and info that even a mortgage banker i spoke with didn't know about. definitely worth it
Customer Review: I was impressed with this book because most rental managers don't even discuss insurance or know anything about it. Yet, this book devotes several pages on this topic. So, If you got a vacation rental, or thinking about it like me, your common garden variety homeowners policy won't do. You got to... more info
Customer Review: This book provides a very general overview of the foreclosure process, but it provides very little specific information that you would actually need. This book might be a good resource to the novice (like myself), but it does not get you all the way there. Try checking out a real estate investors... more info
Customer Review: This book was well written and had some solid information, but I felt it lacked detail. The book spends a lot of time talking about salesmanship and very little time really explaining the details of either evaluating or negotiating commercial deals. Honestly, I really liked Loren Keim's book The... more info
Customer Review: I bought this book in preparation of buying a house - we are first time home-buyers and needed to know the basics without getting bogged down with too much jargon or poorly-written advice. I found the book easy to read and the chapters helpful without sacrificing important information that I needed... more info
Customer Review: This book basically points out that you NEED a real estate agent. And preferably a buyer's agent to purchase your home. Very informative, but really what it all comes down to is that you need a good honest agent to do the asking for you.
Customer Review: I bought this book in 2003 and used it to sell a rental house. At the time there were 5 or 6 other homes for sale on the same small street. I sold mine in 5 days while the others languished on the market (because they were over-priced) for months. Definitely recommended reading.
