Customer Review: Just one heck of a resource. The only thing that keeps me from kicking myself for not buying it 10 years ago is that it has only been in print for three years. HIGHLY recommended to those who are responsible for leading an organization through a lean transformation.
Customer Review: I bought this book as a part of my classroom text material. It's an interesting book that talks about how Toyota uses its system to achieve lean manufacturing by integrating people, process and technology. This is coupled with the lean design guide book for our text. It is informative.
Customer Review: I thought this book did a good job in giving you an overview of the lean tools. It is a good reference point if you would like to further study lean activities.
Customer Review: I've seen it (and lived it) multiple times. An Exec kicks off a Lean Initiative and the company creates a Lean Enterprise. At first, its all about training, Kaizen Blitz, 5S, prototype cells and Kanbans. The focus is about 95% shop floor processes. But after a while, the program starts to stall.... more info
Customer Review: This was the first book that I have read on metrics. Not that I'm a complete newb to them, but it is an entry-level view at them. At $45 for 150 pages of text it is pricey, but is it worth it ? That, I think, depends on your need. On the plus side the book is very clearly written and... more info
Customer Review: Very helpful for a beginner and a seasoned vet in the administrative assistant world. Arrive in great shape and in a reasonable time period.
Customer Review: This book could have been better for me, but overall I liked it and found it useful. I work for a low volume Hi-mix company coming from a a hi-mix, hi-volume background. I found the traditional approaches were not going to work. Groping in the dark and some trial and error, I was coming to myown... more info
