Customer Review: I borrowed the book from library trying to take a look at the recipes before deciding to buy one. Looked at most of the recipes, one thing caught my eyes -- most of the recipes call for 3/4 or a full cup of suger! It's true that they don't contain dairy but such a mount of suger is not healthy even... more info
Customer Review: I have two other cookbooks from Jo Stepaniak (Vegan Vittles, Table for Two), and they are both pretty bad. The recipes range from bland to gross. The desserts are AWFUL and the stereotype of what "health food" tastes like. I would NEVER EVER give any of the food in these books to a meat-eater... more info
Customer Review: So you have food allergies - you're destined to a life of boring (and few) foods, right?? WRONG!! With this guidebook, you'll read about/discover so many substitutions for "forbidden foods/ingredients," recipes, and other vital information that you'll never suffer from hunger again - well, you'll at... more info
Customer Review: I, too own the Betty Crocker Cookbook, and I, too, am capable of a simple search & replace string for phrases. It seems to me that the author simply took recipies from established cookbooks, and replaced every instance of the word "butter" with "milk-free margerine", the word "milk" with... more info
Customer Review: I am also one of those mothers who has been jumping up and down for years learning tricks to make food for my son who is galactosemic. I admit some of the recipes in this book are a bit silly due to the substitutions of water and the like, however it is a good book for a base. I am buying a second... more info
Customer Review: I love this cookbook. The author has created fabulous foolproof dairy-free recipes that I turn to over and over again. I especially love the butternut squash and pear soup recipe which is sublime, but there are many many more wonderful recipes. Having this cookbook has made it so that I don't mind... more info
Customer Review: This is a great follow-up to Levana's first cookbook, which I use religiously. The stunning photographs are inspiring (and missing from many dairy free and other healthy cookbooks). I make her cookies every week with the different variations she offers and my family never stops asking for more. I... more info
Customer Review: Fantastic!
It is now my favourite cookbook!
I reccomend it it anyone who has allergies to Wheat or Dairy!
It will be the best help in the kitchen you could ever ask for!
Customer Review: This cook book is terrible and provides no new information or recipes. There is one recipe that is given for a Fruit Salad and then includes onions and other vegetables, clearly a typo. I would not suggest this book.
