A few weeks ago I commented on market research for hotel
products. Today I am pleased to tell you about the Holiday Inn Family
Suites Resort in Orlando and their 90% occupancy.
Terry Whaples, the owner and operator of the 800 room
Holiday Inn Family Suites Resort in Orlando, is a true entrepreneur and
envisioned a resort that listened to it's prospective customers. Through
extensive research including the assistance of a licensed marriage and
family therapist, she discovered that when traveling, kids and parents
need some of their own space.
As a result of research conducted, the hotel has themed
Kids Suites available, including Cinema, Fitness, Business, Sweetheart,
Classic and Residential themes. Click

Hats off to Ms. Whaples and her team. They listened to
their customers and now have a hotel built for customers. What a novel
idea!?
