Couples need to work on keeping the magic in their relationships. Add kids, and, well, it becomes a bit more work.
A nice getaway can be just the cure for the business-of-life doldrums. But finding a sitter, especially if you're heading out of town, can be a challenge. Can you take them with you and still have an adult-oriented time? What if you're parents-to-be, looking to celebrate being free just one last time? To both questions, I say "babymoon." And no, I didn't make that up.
Babymoons, or babymooning, is a newly coined term that covers different types of trips. The website Babymoonfinder.com describes a babymoon as a rejuvenating trip expecting parents take. The expression has also been used to describe the phenomenon of taking babies on vacation. I call this a phenomenon because I've taken my then-babies on vacation and I can tell you it was less than rejuvenating.
