Atlantis, Paradise Island Names Alexander Kim VP, General Manager of Conference Services and Banquet Operations

Alexander Kim has been named vice president and general manager of conference services and banquet operations for Atlantis, Paradise Island. The announcement was made by Alan Leibman, chief operating officer, Kerzner International Bahamas.

Atlantis “We are delighted to welcome Alexander Kim to our management team. His proven track record with some of the largest and most highly rated conference resorts in the country will prove invaluable in enhancing Atlantis’ position as the leading meeting and conference destination in The Bahamas/Caribbean region,” Liebman said.

Prior to joining Atlantis, Kim was with the 920-room La Quinta Resort and Club in California where he served as director of conference services and director of food and beverage. While there, he achieved $29 million in food and beverage revenue and $15 million in banquet revenue.

Kim also held management positions with the 659-room Sheraton Bal Harbour in Florida, including banquet service manager, convention services manager and director of catering and convention services.

A graduate of Florida International University in Miami with a degree in hospitality management, Kim began his career at Masa International Miami as restaurant manager and then moved to the Hyatt Regency in Indianapolis where he held a number of restaurant and banqueting positions. He also served as director of banquets for the Hotel InterContinental Miami before joining the Sheraton Bal Harbour.
