Today, The Bethesdan Hotel, a locally inspired, vibrant hotel, opens its doors as the first Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Maryland. Located at 8120 Wisconsin Avenue in lively downtown Bethesda, Maryland, The Bethesdan Hotel brings a new style of hospitality, offering authentic, local experiences to the city.
Each of The Bethesdan’s 270 new and contemporary guest rooms offers floor-to-ceiling windows with spectacular views of the surrounding city. Embracing the community even further, the hotel features a one-of-a-kind, 40’ high by 100’ long mural curated by a local artist on the outside of the building, which combines a sunflower, hummingbird, and swaths of color to welcome visitors, enhance the landscape of downtown, and celebrate the influence of the community on the hotel.
“The artist has created a truly remarkable piece of art that brings color and life to this busy corner of Wisconsin Avenue. Having owned and managed hotels in Bethesda since the 1980s, we are delighted to bring to life The Bethesdan, the first lifestyle hotel in the market,” said Davin Driskill, Senior Vice President of TBC Hotels.
The property offers several premier food and dining options for both guests and locals. The full-service restaurant, Leo & Liv, serves sumptuous American dishes with a Mediterranean twist. The menu utilizes fresh, local farmers market ingredients procured daily. Together, the food and ambiance provide a warm yet lively feel. The private dining room is ideal for a rehearsal dinner, milestone birthday or anniversary celebration, and after work office gatherings.
Before or after dinner, guests can indulge in local craft beer, specialty cocktails, and a large selection of wines at BFD (“But First Drinks …”), the lobby lounge. BFD also offers lite bites and delicious desserts. For those guests or visitors who want to grab something quick, Leo & Go has freshly made gourmet coffees, specialty espresso drinks, and delicious pastries as well as a variety of hot and cold Grab & Go Sandwiches, Salads, Snacks, and much more. Leo & Go is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
“We are very excited to be able to deliver such an exceptional experience to our loyal guests as well as new patrons who want more from their stay when visiting Bethesda. We think we have something special for everyone to enjoy,” said Steve Wieder, General Manager of The Bethesdan Hotel.
