Wicklund Promoted to GM Spot at Residence Inn Pontiac

Since 2008, Wicklund has served as the property's Senior Sales Manager. In her first year in this position, she achieved sales of over 1 million dollars and exceeded the performance goal by 20 percent.

White Lodging is pleased to announce the promotion of Dodi Wicklund to the position of General Manager at the Residence Inn Pontiac Michigan. Since 2008, Wicklund has served as the property's Senior Sales Manager. In her first year in this position, she achieved sales of over 1 million dollars and exceeded the performance goal by 20 percent.

"I am really excited to get back to the operations side of the business," said Wicklund. "The Residence Pontiac has a great staff, and I hope I can help them further their career with White Lodging."

Prior to joining White Lodging, Wicklund spent three years as a Marketing Associate with SYSCO Detroit.  This nearly $40 billion company sells, markets and distributes food products to restaurants, hospitals, schools, lodgings establishments and more.

Her career in the hospitality industry started with the Kentucky based Columbia Sussex Corporation.  A 51-property hospitality company, Wicklund started as an Area Sales Manager at the Holiday Inn Southfield and the Crown Plaza Detroit Metropolitan Airport. During her more than four years with the company, she was promoted to Director of Sales and Catering at the Holiday Inn and next served as the property's General Manager.

Commenting on Wicklund's promotion, Regional Vice President Jean Smith said, "I look forward to the impact Dodi will have on the Residence Inn and I have great expectations for her." Smith went on to say that Wicklund is very passionate about the business and operates at a very high level when interacting with guests, associates and property owners.
