Data and analytics specialist STR has named Jon Timmons as the company’s new chief operations officer.
Timmons joins STR after a four-year stint at eviCore health care. His first two years with the company were split between director of business intelligence and data warehousing, then he became VP for technology with a focus on enterprise data management. Following a company merger, Timmons’ VP role shifted to data services, and he managed all data services and implementations, supporting health plan customers, members and revenue across multiple application platforms and product lines.

Prior to joining eviCore, Timmons held various IT positions of increasing responsibility with General Electric, from June 1996 to December 2011. In his final role as IT director in the services group for GE Aviation, Timmons led an enterprise analytics program supporting multi-billion-dollar service revenues for commercial jet engines.
