Abu Dhabi Hotels Report 7.7 Percent RevPAR Drop for April 2017

According to preliminary April 2017 data from STR, Abu Dhabi hotels reported occupancy increased 1.7% to 77.6%, ADR dropped 8.8% to 452.42 Emirati dirhams ($123.17) and RevPAR decreased 7.2% to 351.27 Emirati dirhams ($95.63)

STR’s preliminary April 2017 data for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, indicates occupancy growth and lower room rates. 

Based on daily data from April, Abu Dhabi reported the following in year-over-year comparisons:

  • Supply: +5.5%
  • Demand: +7.3%
  • Occupancy: +1.7% to 77.6%
  • Average daily rate (ADR): -8.8% to AED452.42
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): -7.2% to AED351.27

Performance in the market remained consistent with significant growth in both supply and demand.
