La Quinta Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LQ) announced the completion of an extensive renovation to the La Quinta Inn & Suites – Chicago Downtown located at One South Franklin in the heart of Chicago's financial and theatre district, nearby many of the city's top attractions. The 239-room hotel now has a completely new interior that ensures guests an enhanced level of comfort and service whether traveling for business or leisure. All guestrooms and common areas have been updated with a stylish, contemporary design that includes new furniture and linens, flooring, artwork, lighting and wall coverings. The hotel's lobby has been fully transformed with the addition of modern check-in counters, comfortable seating areas and communal gathering tables with charging stations where people can connect. A Bright Side Market has been added offering snacks, quick meals, sundries and personal care items for guests who may have left an item behind or are looking for an impulse item to eat or drink.
On the hotel's second floor is an enlarged dining area where complimentary Bright Side Breakfast is served each morning featuring a rotation of bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs and freshly prepared oatmeal and toppings along with cereals, fresh fruit, waffles and muffins. The Company also added a full-service restaurant called Market Creations, that offers guests onsite options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fitness center was expanded and includes the latest exercise equipment, free weights and cardio machines with individual monitors. This location also offers four spacious meeting rooms, a business center and high-speed internet access that is always free at all La Quinta hotels.
