Falcon Hospitality Group announced last week that a $12 million SpringHill Suites by Marriott broke ground for construction in Kansas City, Missouri and is expected to open Q1 2019. The 96-room SpringHill Suites hotel, located at 8300 N. Stoddard Ave, will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Falcon Hospitality Group.
The new SpringHill Suites will be located just seven miles from Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and 20 minutes from downtown Kansas City. The hotel will offer guests convenient access to Zona Rosa Town Center featuring dining, shopping and entertainment options.
"It's an exciting time for our company as we partner with Marriott and expand our hotel portfolio in the Kansas City metro market," said Deepak Parmer, principal at FHG. Falcon Hospitality Group, a company based in Independence, Missouri currently owns and operate hotels five properties in Kentucky, Kansas and Missouri. This will be Falcon's second property under construction and two more are in the pipeline for the next 12 months.
Ideal for business and leisure travelers alike, the new hotel will offer a little extra space with suites larger than a typical hotel rooms. Featuring a brand new design that adds depth and sophistication to the décor, the hotel's lobby will be a great venue for conducting casual meetings or simply to socialize with SpringHill Suites' enhanced evening experience. Guests will be able to enjoy delicious food and beverage offerings, including local craft beer and premium wines available through the 24/7 Market. The property will offer 966 square feet of meeting space to accommodate meetings and functions of up to 64 people.
The hotel will also offer business services, complimentary Wi-Fi, same-day dry cleaning, guest laundry facilities, an indoor swimming pool and a fitness center.
