Job Description

The Director of Sales will be responsible for assisting the Projector Director in planning, directing, and leadership necessary to deal with the short term and long term business objectives of the Poipu Sales Gallery. In addition this position will be responsible for providing guidance, direction, and accountability in producing the expected performance at the Poipu Sales Gallery while constantly striving to maintain a positive work environment for all employees.


• Directs, coordinates, and staffs the sales operation at the Poipu Gallery.
• Works in coordination with the Marketing department on the development of Marketing and Sales Programs.
• Delivers results by meeting targeted sales goals, budget management, staff and personal development.
• Participates in weekly Yield Meetings and is proactive in developing the Vistana culture at the Poipu Gallery.
• Directs the hiring and development of the leadership talent necessary to achieve the goals.
• Communicates all necessary information in a timely fashion to the Project Director.
• Establishes and maintains a consistent, relevant training program(s) utilizing company resources
• Schedules management and sales executives in a manner that will create a smooth flow and process to achieve company goals.
• Leads the sales operation in a constancy of purpose striving to maintain our corporate vision and culture.
• Anticipates the needs of the operation and the customer.
• Creates a synergistic environment with Operations, Marketing, Vistana corporate.
• Constantly strives to operate the Sales department profitably. (NOTE: Always seeking the most efficient ways to operate the sales function.)
• Directs the planning, organization, and coordination of the morning sales meeting “Pump Sessions”.
• Stairs are a part of the building structure, therefore, climbing stairs is mandatory.
• Processing of paperwork requires visual observations.
• Verbal communication is necessary for negotiating plans for Project.
• It is anticipated that the Project Director will require a comprehensive work effort while generally working a regular scheduled Monday Ð Friday schedule. Occasionally six or seven day work schedule will be required, particularly when Corporate travel or regional meetings are scheduled.
• Proven successful track record of directing Sales and Marketing. A minimum of 5 years recent experience as the top sales. Vacation ownership companies a plus.
• Experience gained through increasingly responsible management positions within sales.
