Working from our offices in Phoenix, Arizona you will support our efforts in maximizing Best Western's competitive position in the marketplace by executing new and existing initiatives that increase business for our Best Western properties through the various distribution channels (i.e. traditional agency, intermediaries, online booking tools, OTAs, and GDS). The Associate Program Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identifying, developing and implementing recommendations and/or strategies to achieve sales goals for assigned products, services or programs
  • Identify emerging trends in the travel community in order to develop and execute plans with our sales directors to adopt new technology to respond to client needs
  • Generating project plans, proposals and/or promotions for Worldwide Sales
  • Executes sales programs and the design and development of support resources such as web sites, directories, solicitations, training and educational materials. Promotes education and enhances communication with members, affiliates and WWS Managers
  • Project management to lead teams comprised of various internal departments and external vendors/customers to collaborate for solutions driven approach
  • Supports WWS partner marketing initiatives through print and digital
  • Central Bill/GFIT Aging management by following up with sales managers on their accounts, tracking responses, measuring month over month variances, providing consolidated report to VP and Directors
  • WWS Motions/Ballots management to record all that pertain to WWS and proactively communicate to appropriate Director of ones that are coming up for renewal
  • Manage connections and projects by maintaining spreadsheets, communicating with senior management, attending bi-weekly meetings, hosting conferences, monitoring online resources and participating in webinars
  • Manage WWS Leisure Account databases, perform audits of user access, terminate access as needed and work with Directors as appropriate
  • Administrative functions such as prepare/update Excel spreadsheets to include functions of Vlookup, Pivot tables, databases, etc. and prepare/update PowerPoint presentations.  Update WWS data on MyBW.com site.  WWS department point person for ITSM ticket assignments 
  • Coordinate Sales meetings by working with Directors and Meeting Services to plan/host annual Global Sales & Marketing meeting in Winter and Worldwide Sales meeting in Summer

Skills/Requirements

  • One plus years related experience in marketing or hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in managing projects preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality or related field, or an equivalent combination or education and experience preferred
  • Exhibits strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include working with and extracting from databases
